I'd been talking about these girls with a friend of mine and I mentioned how I'd love to adopt the AA and Asian versions of these "Bigguns", but I couldn't find them at my local store. So, dolly enabler that she is; she bought this girl for me and had Amazon ship her to my house. I haven't named her yet, but I'm having a great time with her. I took measurements the other night and realized that she's *very* close to the SIDs in size, so I'm gonna indulge in a session of "Raid the Wardrobe" this coming week.
And, because it makes me sad to have any Lonely Only Dolls here; I ordered a 28" Descendants 2 Evie to keep her company.

Oh Kiddo, like I said...turn my back. lol What a cool discovery they are so close in size to the SID girls! I've seen the larger Barbies, but never this girl. What do you think of their posing? Are they like the smaller Barbies in the posing ability? And I really like the second girl too. The blue hair, and her facial sculpt are really nice.
Congrats, I'd love to see more of them! I came close to getting a larger MH doll awhile ago, but something held me back...thought they'd be a hoot though.
Hugs,
-Mum

Hugs, -Mum I can't recall at the moment if the current little Barbies bend at the knee, but these girls have articulated wrists and elbows, so upper body posing is great. No bending knees, but that's okay. And OMG!! She has *super* soft hair. I was sitting on the couch the other night just brushing through it and absolutely enjoying myself. Styling will be so much fun.
The only drawback with them is that their shoes don't come off. I'm planning to do some modding on her... planning to put more details in her eyebrows, change her lip color, separate her fingers, pierce her ears and maybe paint in teeth. Hmmm... that list looks much longer than I thought. Lol. And I *may* mod her feet so that she can wear SD shoes. Not sure yet. If I do, she'll be able to wear more of my SIDW clothing, thinking pants mainly. Evie's shoes can come off, so I might just paint this girls shoes a more neutral color and call it good.
Oh. And the measurement comparison:
Barbie SID
Height 71.0cm 62.0cm
Bust 29.8cm 30/29/28/27cm
Waist 21.0cm 19.6/19.3cm
Hips 30.7cm 29.6/27.8
I haven't measured her height yet to see if she really *is* 28". I'll do that tomorrow.
I can see having a fantastic time with both these girls. Their size is great, but traveling around with them will be easier and less worrying than traveling with my resins.

Ooooooh! Just checked more closely and they're actually closer to the HIDWs! That opens up all *sorts* of additional avenues.
HIDW Bust: 32/29.5/29cm Waist:21cm Hips: 30cm
So in short.... all the Iple bigger girl clothes to a certain extent. Mwahahahaha.

Lol. *Never* go looking for extra pictures! That's just plain dangerous. Heeheehee. That being said... that repait is fabulous!
Aaaaw! Little Evie!!! So cute. I saw a picture somewhere of the 28" Evie holding the 12" Evie and it was beyond adorable. She's got such a cheeky personality. You can't see it in the pic I posted, but her left eyebrow is raised juuust a touch giving her a huge boost in attitude. My kinda gal! Lol.
Yep. It's been fun adding the different vinyls back into the fold. I love my Iples for the inspiration, but with these dolls; I can play with the grandkids and not stress about them.

Congrats! She is so cute. What beautiful, shiny hair she has. That would be fantastic if she could share clothes with your SID. I love blue haired/themed dolls, there was one in the Ellowyne line that I adored.

I'm thinking she'll fit best in HIDW clothing, but there's a lot of swapping potential between the girls.... and even some of the guys. I've dressed my HID Lahela in SIDM pant and tops and she looked fabulous in them, so it'll be fun playing with her and seeing what styles look good on her.
And, OMGosh... her *hair*. (happy sigh) SOOOOO soft. It was really calming to just brush it the other night and run my fingers through it.
Blue is my favorite color, so the moment I laid eye on Evie; I knew she'd be the perfect companion for my girl. I remember that Ello. She was gorgeous.

Kiddo you haven't lost your Enabling skills. I came, "this"' close to getting a big Barbie tonight. Held off though, cause I want to see Big Evie. Had another look at the big MH's, but they aren't calling me. There seems to be an upscaling in a few of these dolls though at TRU. I noticed on the Barbie tonight, that her shoes are removeable...

You sound like me, Kiddo with hair...I remember my Sen Syd and running my fingers through her hair, how calming it was. And ditto, especially that shade. On the hunt for Big Evie now. lol

Oh wow, Sonya, I love this one! I saw the blonde version at TRU yesterday and I was like "Enh, not for me," but I love the AA version... damn I thought I was safe, lol. She kind of looks like a bigger version of the "Brandy" sculpt? Of which I have I like, at least three in the small size, ha ha. If I see this one, I know I'm going to be sorely tempted, even though I try to stick to resins mostly (I like being able to switch out the eyes/hair easily).

I love the versatility of the resins, too, but I like the play aspect of the vinyl dolls. And the prices tags are pretty easy on the wallet. :-) And at that cost I have absolutely *no* problem with modding them. Ahem... and... ummm... speaking of the blond.... I *may* or may not have accidentally brought one of them home today. (whistling innocently) I get into *SO* much trouble while I'm waiting for dolls. (snort) I've had my eyes open for the pretty Asian and Hispanic versions, too, but no luck. Oh, well. With blue haired Evie; that'll be enough. I hope. Lol
