Here's another of my "rescue dolls"; I actually got her last month, but was so busy with work I didn't get much time to take pics or post. This is Flora. I saw her head in the DOA MP, and it had been FS for something like 2 *years* with no takers. So, I bought it, and fixed up the faceup (it was chipped all around the eyes, and the eyelashes were missing). I then bought an inexpensive Mirodoll body and fixed that up, too. I put epoxy putty in the arm joints (which are loose out of the box), until they were nice tight posers. I also sanded the neck so it was a better fit for this rather small head. She's going to get Kips pads and a second restringing in the future, but for now, she's looking good. I didn't bother using a resin match service, but the body ended up being a close match, only about half a shade yellower than the head. This is my first hybrid project, and I'm happy it was such a success.
